District Kids: Center for Minds and Hearts, LLC has openings for qualified candidates to provide child and adolescent therapy and tutoring virtually and in-person, space permitting. JOB DUTIES (Therapy)
Clinicians will provide therapy services to children, adolescents, and families in person and, on occasion, virtually with the use of a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. Population served includes child and adolescent clients ages 5-15 and families and is based upon referrals and clinician’s expertise.
Clinical hours for this position range from 10 hours per week (part time) to up to 22 hours per week (full time), contingent on referrals.
Clinicians are responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Providing consultation to prospective clients when appropriate
Providing therapy services within scope of practice
Assessing client needs, formulating diagnosis, and completing treatment plan
Crisis management, when applicable
Coordinate care with treatment team, including other outpatient providers
Maintaining client file, including notes and clinical assessments
Processing payments and insurance claims through the EHR system
Submitting client hours for payroll
Maintaining aesthetically pleasing, confidential office space (in person and virtual)
Ideal Candidates:
Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, continuing education, creativity, and culturally responsive, holistic therapy.
Have Master’s Level Training in the field of Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field. Licensure to practice in the District of Columbia.
Experience with children and adolescents as a trauma informed clinician in any of the following specialities: ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Social Skills, LGBTQIA+ community
Position may require work beyond traditional hours of employment, including 1-3 weeknights per week or weekends on-site at our Washington, DC location.
Demonstrates an ability to read and interpret treatment related documents, perform highly detailed work, manage concurrent tasks, and maintain healthy boundaries appropriate in an outpatient setting and while working virtually.

Experience with children and adolescents in any of the following specialities: ADHD, Dyslexia, Executive Functioning, Math, Anxiety
